141 Stolen Cars Recovered By Aurora Police, Officials Say

The recovered cars were stolen between January and August, according to Aurora police.

AURORA, IL — Aurora police have recovered a total of 141 cars stolen between January and August, officials announced Tuesday.

In a news release, officials said they have been "working diligently" to recover stolen cars after a national trend of Kia and Hyundai thefts.

Officials also reminded owners of the impacted cars to install the free theft deterrent software that was developed by Kia and Hyundai since millions of cars lacked an immobilizer, police said.
