Police say they seized close to five pounds of black tar heroin.

AURORA, IL -- A man and a woman have been charged with selling 900 grams of black tar heroin to an undercover police officer in Aurora Friday. Police say Polet Bucio-Perez, 27, of the 600 block of East Downer Place, Aurora, and Jerardo Espinoza-Zepeda, 43, of California, had 2,283 grams of heroin with a street value of roughly $1 million in their possession at the time of their arrest, Daily Herald reports.
The charges come after an investigation led by the Kane County Sheriff's Office, the Drug Enforcement Agency, and police from Chicago and Elgin. Officers tracked down Espinoza-Zepeda and Bucio-Perez in an undercover operation near the intersection of Sheffer Road and Farnsworth Avenue Friday afternoon.
Both Bucio-Perez and Espinoza-Zepeda face up to 60 years in prison if convicted. They are currently being held in Kane County Jail.
