AURORA, IL — A detached garage was destroyed after a fire engulfed it early Monday morning, the Aurora Fire Department said.

A total of 24 personnel were dispatched at about 1:14 a.m. to the 400 block of North Harrison Avenue, where they found a fully involved fire at the detached garage. Crews were concerned about exposure to nearby structures, according to a news release.

Firefighters deployed hose lines while other crews supported water supply and overhaul efforts. First responders brought the fire under control about 10 minutes after the arrival of the first unit, but the garage and two vehicles inside were deemed a total loss, officials said.
