24-Hour Emergency Warming Center Now Open In Aurora
Officials extended hours for Aurora Transportation Center's emergency warming center to keep it open 24 hours a day through Tuesday morning.

AURORA, IL — Sub-zero temperatures in the forecast for the next few days are forcing residents to reconsider leaving their houses. But for people who might not have access to a heated space, city officials opened an emergency 24-hour warming center at the Aurora Transportation Center.
Located at 233 N. Broadway, the center will remain open around the clock until Tuesday morning. City officials first announced the center's hours Thursday and kept it open until early Saturday, but with more frigid temperatures in the forecast, they reopened it Sunday night.
All guests at the warming center will be required to take a COVID-19 health screening upon entering, wear masks and social distance.
