Aurora Central Catholic High School Hosts Hybrid Fundraiser

Aurora Central Catholic High School (ACC) — a school committed to the spiritual formation and education of young adults in the Fox Valley area for over 50 years — will host its 26th Annual Super Saturday Night fundraiser May 5-7, 2022. The hybrid fundraiser will provide participants with a guilt-free shopping experience that will help support student programs, maintain low tuition costs and advance the school’s new Strength & Fitness Center.

This year’s Cinco De Mayo theme, “Nacho Average Celebration,” will feature a silent auction, raffles and a virtual Fund-A-Need program. The event will give student parents, alumni and local community members the opportunity to support ACC while honoring the school’s Outstanding Alumni of the Year and Volunteer of the Year. Guests can participate in the event’s silent auction by placing bids in person or online on a mobile device or computer. Auction items include destination getaways; luxury items and services; tickets to major Chicagoland area attractions and activities; gift cards for local businesses and restaurants; ACC prime parking spots and more.

Attendees can view auction items and raffle baskets at ACC by purchasing an in-person “Sip and See” cocktail reception ticket for $45 per person. Each “Sip and See” ticket includes an open bar, live music, hors d’oeuvres, taco and dessert stations, one raffle entry for a door prize, and a wine pull. Guests who prefer to participate in the event remotely can register online at no cost. Both online and in-person guests will be able to bid in the silent auction, donate to the virtual Fund-A-Need program, and purchase Class Basket Raffle and Pot of Blue and Gold Raffle tickets.

“At ACC, the health and well-being of our school community is at the forefront of all that we do,” said Father William Etheredge, principal at Aurora Central Catholic High School and Aurora area superintendent for the Rockford Diocese. “Our Super Saturday Night fundraiser will not only ensure our school’s continued success in the 2022-23 academic year, but it will provide us with funds to purchase state-of-the-art equipment that will complete our new Strength & Fitness Center, enabling us to offer circuit training to our students, athletes, faculty and staff.”

Pot of Blue and Gold Raffle tickets can be purchased online for $25 each or five for $100 for a chance to win cash prizes. The grand prize winner will receive $2,500, the second-place winner will receive $1,000 and the third-place winner will receive $500. Raffle tickets for class baskets, valued at $500 each, will also be available online for $5 each or five for $20. This year’s basket themes include, “Kitchen is Closed,” “Mr. Gadget,” “Raking in the Cash,” and “Mom’s Day Off.” All raffle winners will be notified by phone or email after the auction concludes on Saturday, May 7.

The online silent auction opens at 6:30 p.m. CDT on Thursday, May 5 and concludes at 7:00 p.m. CDT on Saturday, May 7. The virtual Fund-A-Need program and live raffle drawing will begin on May 7 at 7:00 p.m. CDT and will conclude at 9:00 p.m. CDT. Raffle ticket sales will close on Saturday, May 7 at 2:00 p.m. CDT but virtual Fund-A-Need program donations will be accepted through Monday, May 8.
