Aurora Church, Northern Illinois Food Bank To Host Grocery Giveaway

AURORA, IL — In an effort to provide food to needy residents as part of a collaborative effort with the Northern Illinois Food Bank, an Aurora church will be providing free groceries to anyone who needs them in an event on Friday.

Wesley United Methodist Church, which is located at 14 N. May St., will be handing out free groceries between 3 and 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The event is one of 13 mobile distribution events around Kane, Lake, DuPage, Will, and Ogle counties this week that is sponsored by the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

No registration or pre-approved is needed and no documentation showing a need for groceries will be required, organizers said. Groceries will be given away on a first-come-first-served basis while supplies last.
