Aurora Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Minor
Prosecutors allege Ronald Lye, 50, had sexual contact multiple times with a minor who he met on a social media dating app.

AURORA, IL — An Aurora man is facing more than a dozen felony charges after prosecutors alleged he sexually abused a minor multiple times at his home. Ronald Lye, 50, was arrested and charged Saturday with 13 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and two counts of traveling to meet a minor, according to a news release from Kane County State’s Attorney Joe McMahon.
Lye is accused of having sexual contact with a minor on several occasions since April 1. Prosecutors allege Lye drove to pick up the minor, who he met on a social media dating app, before they returned to his home in the 1600 block of Fairwood Place.

Lye is being held at the Kane County Adult Justice Center in lieu of $275,000 bail. He is due to next appear in court Friday.

The Aurora Police Department and the Kane County Child Advocacy Center are continuing to investigate the case, the release states. Officials are asking anyone with information to call the Kane County Child Advocacy Center at (630) 208-5160.
