Aurora Man Charged With Having $20K Worth Of Weed On Him: Cops

Police say they found two pounds of marijuana and several cannabis oil cartridges inside the car.

AURORA, IL — Police arrested an Aurora man for allegedly having nearly $20,000 of pot with him during a traffic stop. Aaron J. Soloff, 23, of the 600 block of Westgate was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis and manufacture or delivery of cannabis after the Feb. 20 incident.

Police say they pulled over the car Soloff was in near the intersection of Elmwood and Plum after it allegedly rolled through a stop sign. According to police, Soloff seemed as though he was trying to hide something when they stopped the car.

Police ordered Soloff to get out of the car and found vacuum-sealed bags that contained what turned out to be two pounds of marijuana. They also located "several cartridges of cannabis oil," according to a post on the Aurora Police Facebook page.

Police say the driver was let go with a traffic ticket and Soloff was taken to Kane County Jail.
