Aurora Man Convicted Of Forcing Way Into Ex-Girlfriend's Home
He shoved his way into her home and then threatened to kill her, prosecutors said.

AURORA, IL — An Aurora man has been found guilty of using force to get into his ex-girlfriend's home and then attacking and threatening to kill her. Robert Williams III, 32, was convicted of home invasion, domestic battery and unlawful restraint in connection with the incident.
Williams had been charged with forcing his way into his girlfriend's home on May 11, 2018. When Williams got into her house, he slammed her to the floor and threatened to kill her, according to police.
After Aurora police got to the scene, authorities said Williams continued to text the victim with threatening messages.

"Mr. Williams couldn't take 'no' for an answer and decided to exercise power and control over his victim," Kane County State's Attorney Joseph McMahon said. "I hope this prosecution sends a message that our community has no tolerance for domestic violence and that our office aggressively prosecutes domestic violence cases."
