Aurora Man Critical After Sustaining Multiple Gunshot Wounds

Police say they found the victim in his car with multiple gunshot wounds.

AURORA, IL -- 24-year-old Aurora man is in critical condition after police found him in his car suffering from multiple gunshot wounds Tuesday night. The incident took place in the 400 block of State Street.

Aurora police responded to the shooting just after 8 p.m. and say they found the man in his car and that it appears the suspect came up to the car on foot and started shooting. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was reportedly taken to surgery and is still being treated.

Police do not currently have a description of the suspect, but Aurora Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information that may lead to their apprehension.

Police say the shooting does not appear to be random.
