Aurora Man Fired Gun At House During Domestic Dispute
Caballero was convicted of firing a gun towards a home and people who were standing in the front yard.

AURORA, IL -- An Aurora man has been convicted of firing a gun during a domestic dispute in 2017, according to the Kane County State's Attorney's Office. A jury Tuesday found Juan E. Caballero, 26, of the 1100 block of Burgundy Lane, guilty of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and reckless discharge of a firearm.
Police say that on Oct. 2, 2017, Caballero was in an argument about domestic abuse with a resident when he got into his car and began to pull away. Caballero then fired a shot from his handgun into the air and "toward the house and people in the front yard" before he drove off, authorities say.
Kane County State's Attorney Joe McMahon said of the incident, "Jealousy, domestic violence and guns are usually a recipe for disaster, and we’re lucky someone wasn’t seriously injured or killed. This defendant is a convicted felon, should never have had a gun in the first place and should pay a severe penalty for his crimes."
