Aurora Man Pleads Guilty To Selling Heroin: IL Attorney General
The 48-year-old was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to unlawful delivery of a controlled substance.
AURORA, IL — An Aurora man pled guilty for his role in illegal firearm and drug sales in the Chicago area, Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul announced.
Kane County Circuit Court Judge John Barsanti sentenced 48-year-old Steven Jordan to 15 years in prison after he pled guilty to one felony count of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance.
Jordan was one of seven defendants charged in December 2022 after an investigation uncovered the known suburban gang members and their associates were involved in illegally selling drugs and guns, according to a news release. The Aurora man was charged after he sold heroin to a confidential information with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Chicago Field Division, who worked with Raoul's office on the case.

In addition to Jordan, DuPage County man Huriel Hernandez also pled guilty in July 2023 to unlawful sale or delivery of firearms, resulting in a 15-year prison sentence. Cases against the other six defendants remain pending, officials said.
"Illicit drug and firearm sales have a destabilizing effect on neighborhoods and often fuel an increase in other forms of criminal activity," Raoul said in a statement. "I will continue to collaborate with federal agencies and local law enforcement to combat gun and drug trafficking and hold perpetrators accountable."
