Aurora Man Wanted for Questioning in May Shooting

Aurora police are asking for the public’s help as they try to track down a man wanted for questioning in a shooting that occurred last month at an apartment in Aurora. Aaron Tolomac, 21, is also wanted on a 2014 warrant.
Police are looking to talk with Tolomac, who lists Aurora addresses both in the 2000 block of West Illinois Avenue and the 500 block of Spruce Street, in regards to a shooting that occurred on May 3 inside a friend’s apartment in the 2000 block of West Illinois. No one was hurt in the shooting that occurred around 10:40 p.m. when a single gunshot was fired through a ceiling in the residence, according to an Aurora Police Department press release.
The 2014 incident for which Tolomac is wanted occurred around 5:30 p.m. on July 28. Tolomac was charged with misdemeanor battery stemming from a fight with a 25 year old man. The fight ended when Tolomac allegedly hit the other man in the head with a skateboard. The victim was treated for a non-life threatening injury at an Aurora hospital, according to the news release.
Tolomac is also wanted on a burglary warrant out of the Kane County Sheriff’s Office.
Police say Tolomac is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached if spotted. He is a Hispanic male who is 5-feet, 3-inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and sometimes spells his last name as Tolamac.

Callers to Crime Stoppers are anonymous and qualify for a cash reward of up to $5000 for information that leads to Tolomac’s arrest.
