Aurora Police To Collect Toiletries During 'Christmas In July' Event

The drive-through-style collection, focused on toiletries, will take place in the front parking lot of the Aurora Police Department.

AURORA, IL — Aurora police will host their second "Christmas in July" drive-through event Saturday. Organizers are focusing on collecting basic toiletries.

From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the front parking lot of the Aurora Police Department, 1200 E. Indian Trail Road, people can stop by to donate anything from toothbrushes, toothpaste and toilet paper to soap, shampoo and feminine hygiene products.

The police department partnered with Mutual Ground to host the event. Officials said anyone wishing to make a donation can participate.
