The Fox Valley Park District is excited to present its Summer Stage production of Disney’s Newsies JR. This fast-paced musical brings to life the story of newspaper boys in New York City as publishers raise prices, cutting into the newsies’ already limited earnings. Led by the determined and charismatic Jack Kelly, the newsboys across the city band together to stand up to unfair conditions and fight for justice. Along the way, they discover the strength that comes from unity and solidarity. Featuring well-loved songs such as “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” and “Santa Fe,” this production is full of energy, heart, and inspiration.
