'Celebration Of Courage' To Honor Heroes Of Aurora Shooting
The public ceremony will honor Aurora police who risked their lives during the Feb. 15 shooting.

AURORA, IL -- The City of Aurora has planned a special event to honor the first responders who risked their lives to save others during the deadly Feb. 15 shooting at Henry Pratt Manufacturing. The celebration will feature more than three dozen Aurora Police Department personnel, including the five officers who sustained gunshot wounds while trying to take down the shooter.
Throughout the Celebration of Courage Recognition Ceremony, officers will be commended with special awards, medals, and speeches from Aurora officials.
