Child Porn Charges Filed Against Aurora Man Accused In Child Sex Sting

Police said hundreds of sexually explicit photos and videos involving minors were found on his cell phone.

AURORA, IL — An Aurora man arrested in March as part of a child sex sting now faces child pornography charges. Carlos J. Zaca, 21, of the 200 block of Bevier Place, was arrested Friday on 10 counts of child pornography, according to the Aurora Police Department. He is being held on $200,000 bail at the Kane County Correctional Center, police said.

In March, Zaca was one of four men arrested after a joint investigation by Aurora police and the Department of Homeland Security. All four men were accused of traveling to a location in Aurora to have sex with a minor or minors. Zaca and the other three men were charged with involuntary sexual servitude of a minor, traveling to meet a minor, and grooming.

Aurora police said the new charges stem from a forensic search of Zaca's cell phone, which was seized during his March arrest. Police said hundreds of videos and pictures containing sexual conduct involving minors were on the phone. (Get Patch real-time email alerts for the latest news for Aurora — or your neighborhood.
