AURORA, IL — An Aurora man was arrested this week and charged with 20 counts of child pornography, police said Wednesday.

Earlier this year, Aurora detectives launched an investigation into an online internet activity involving the sexual exploitation of children, which led to the arrest of 46-year-old Jose Chavez-Valdez.

Police seized multiple devices containing child pornography from the man's residence in the 700 block of East New York Street while executing a search warrant Monday, officials said. Chavez-Valdez was arrested and transferred to the Kane County jail the following day.
