AURORA, IL — The Aurora Police Department seized multiple guns and rounds of ammunition during a search on the city's east side Thursday. In total, cops seized three guns, an airsoft pistol and "numerous rounds of ammunition" from the home in the 700 block of Four Seasons Boulevard, according to a news release.

Police say the search was part of an ongoing investigation by the Aurora Police Department's Special Operations Group in connection with federal partners at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF). As part of the investigation, police are using the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NIBIN), which uses ballistics to help solve violent crimes involving guns.

No additional information was available at press time, but police say the investigation is ongoing.
