Coronavirus In Aurora: Police Staffer Diagnosed
The employee, who lives outside of Aurora has been self-quarantined since March 17, when they started experiencing symptoms.
AURORA, IL — A member of the Aurora Police Department's staff has been confirmed to have new coronavirus. City officials made the announcement via email Saturday.
According to the Aurora spokesperson Paris Lewbel, the supervisory staff member started experiencing symptoms on March 17. The staff member was tested and quarantined themselves while waiting for the results to come in.
The Kendall County Health Department informed Aurora officials Friday that the test was positive for coronavirus. Lewbel said the staff member, who lives outside Aurora, is improving and is expected to make a full recovery.

The Aurora Police Department says it will keep monitoring the health of its employees and will "act swiftly should anyone exhibit symptoms of the virus. "
