Two residents were displaced after their home in the 3000 block of Secretariat Drive caught on fire Monday night.

AURORA, IL — Two residents were displaced from their house after a fire destroyed it Monday night, according to officials at the Aurora Fire Department.
Six engines, two trucks, two medics and three battalion chiefs were called to the house in the 3000 block of Secretariat Drive at about 10:44 p.m. after receiving a report of a fully involved fire in the attached garage. While en route, firefighters were advised all residents evacuated as the flames began engulfing portions of the home's interior.
Firefighters were able to approach the fire from three different points, with one team using a coordinated attack with a master stream to extinguish most of the garage fire, the other two using hose lines on the first and second floors of the house, officials said.
