Detached Garage Destroyed In Fire, House Untouched: Aurora FD

No one was hospitalized after the Trask Street garage caught fire around 6 p.m. May 4, officials said.

AURORA, IL — A detached garage in the 500 block of Trask Street was destroyed in a fire that started May 4, Aurora Fire Department officials said.

Officials said the property owner experienced chest pain and was assessed by paramedics but was not hospitalized after signing a refusal.

A total of 13 firefighters responded to the blaze at 6:19 p.m. to find a one-story detached garage on fire. It took crews six minutes to get the fire under control and another 20 minutes to search for hidden fires.

The home and adjacent properties were not damaged, officials said.

No firefighters or civilians were injured. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
