Driver Rescued After Car Plunges Into Pond In Aurora

Police and firefighters were able to get the woman out of the car safely.

AURORA, IL — Aurora police and firefighters saved a woman Saturday after her car plunged into a retention pond as she was on an exit ramp for I-88. The car went off of the road and into the lake, about 200 feet from the exit, near Bilter Road.

Aurora firefighters pulled the woman from her car when they got to the scene. Police say she had no injuries.

Crews arrived later to retrieve the car from the pond.
