Driver Sought After Cyclist Killed In Hit-And-Run In Aurora
Police say Elizabeth Kakoczki, 61, and her bicycle were found near the side of Edgelawn Road.

AURORA, IL — Aurora police are asking for help finding the suspect of a hit-and-run that claimed the life of a 61-year-old bicyclist. A deputy from the Kane County Sheriff's Department found the body of Elizabeth Kakoczki, of Aurora, along with her bicycled, near the side of Edgelawn Road around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say the deputy and members of the Aurora Police Department performed CPR on Kakoczki while they waited for paramedics to get to the scene. Kakoczki was taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.
After an investigation, officers determined that the car that hit Kakoczki fled the scene. Police officers have shared some later video footage of the area where the crash took place to help locate the suspect.
