Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash In Aurora: Police Ask For Community Leads
A Montgomery woman, 69, was walking along Galena Boulevard Sept. 27 when she was fatally hit by a car that then fled the scene, police said.
AURORA, IL — About a month after a 69-year-old Montgomery woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Galena Boulevard, Aurora police continue to search for the driver of the car involved.
In an update on Facebook Tuesday, officers asked anyone who was in the area when the crash occurred around 2 a.m. Sept. 27 to come forward with information.
Annie Kpa, of Montgomery, was killed after the car hit her while she was walking on Galena Boulevard west of Barnes Road, Patch reported. Police and paramedics were dispatched to the scene after receiving a call from a passerby reporting a pedestrian lying in the roadway.

First responders found the woman suffering from serious injuries before she was pronounced dead on the scene.
