Fatal Stabbing Victim Identified As Aurora Man, 51

Police say Marvin Dean, 51, was found with multiple stab wounds outside a home in the 600 block of Hinman Street.

AURORA, IL — The Kane County Coroner has identified a 51-year-old man as the victim of Saturday's fatal stabbing in Aurora. Police say Marvin Dean, of Aurora, was found with multiple stab wounds in the 600 block of Hinman Street Saturday after 5:15 a.m., Kane County Connects reports.

Police are still investigating the homicide and no suspects were in custody at press time.

Dean was rushed to a nearby hospital after he was discovered outside the home. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

Dean's cause of death was determined to be a "stab wound to the chest," according to Kane County Connects.
