Fugitive Wanted For Child Sex Assault Arrested In Aurora
Zion Vazquez is on the Massachusetts Most Wanted List for multiple child sex assault charges.

AURORA, IL — Aurora police arrested a fugitive who was wanted in Massachusetts on multiple child sex assault charges. Zion Vazquez, 32, was listed on the Massachusetts Most Wanted list and had been using the alias "Jay Medina" when he was arrested in an abandoned home in the 1300 block of Plain Avenue Friday, police said.
Police said they got a tip from the Massachusetts State Police via the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force that Vazquez, who is suspected of multiple sex assaults against a child under 10 years old, was hiding in the area. Vazquez had been on the run since 2013, when a warrant was issued for his arrest on the child sex assault charges. Police say it seems he's been in the Aurora "for a little while."
Vazquez is being held at a Kane County Adult Justice Center while waiting to be taken back to Worcester County, Massachusetts.
