Great teachers give more than grades, they lend a helping hand

North Aurora| Goodwin Elementary School students gave teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to support local education and school activities.

Teachers from Aurora West Unit School District 129, volunteered behind the counter on Thursday, October 17, at the North Aurora McDonald’s located on Hansen Blvd, where they served students and their families in a fundraiser for Goodwin Elementary School.

Mrs. Jennifer Moe, Goodwin Elementary Music Teacher, tended the apple pie box during the night alongside, Administrative Assistant, Brenda English who did an outstanding job selling pies to customers throughout the night.

The proceeds from the sale of pies went directly to benefit the schools PTO as well as fifteen percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher’s Night sales.

John Lardas, Owner- Operator of the North Aurora McDonald’s and Yanni Management were delighted to participate in the worthy cause for education and the community.
