The need for volunteer English language tutors is greater than ever before. To help meet the need, Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley will host a free tutor training workshop from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on March 11, 13, 18, and 20 at the St. Charles Public Library.

Each trained volunteer will be matched with one adult learner. Volunteer tutors and their adult learners meet for one hour each week at a time and public location that is convenient, such as public libraries.

Volunteers do not need to know a second language or have teaching experience to be successful. The workshop provides material and instruction so anyone can help.
