Police say they found more than six grams of cocaine after a chase that reached speeds of over 75 mph.

AURORA, IL -- Two Aurora men are facing felony drug charges after a high-speed chase through the city's near east and south east sides early Monday. Police say that after the car chase, which reached over 75 mph, they found more than six grams of cocaine in the vehicle and a gram of cocaine on the passenger.

The driver, Jose J. Lopez, of the 100 block of N. Loucks street was charged with aggravated DUI and unlawful possession of a controlled substance, in addition to several traffic citations in connection with the chase. His passenger, Adrian Canizal, 37, of the 200 block of N. Ohio Street, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and illegal transportation of alcohol, police say.

According to Aurora police, Lopez's car was spotted with no headlights on just before 2 a.m. near the intersection of Kane and Union Street. Lopez allegedly accelerated after police attempted to pull him over, leading to a high-speed chase that ended near Jackson and Simms, police say.
