Holiday Food Drive At Aurora Interfaith Pantry Open For 1 More Week
Shoppers can visit three area grocery stores — in Aurora and Montgomery — to participate in the pantry's 15th annual holiday food drive.
AURORA, IL — Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry's 15th annual holiday drive runs for one more week at three area grocery stores.
Shoppers have until Nov. 24, Thanksgiving Day, to participate by shopping at Prisco's Family Market, 1108 Prairie St. in Aurora; Cermak Fresh Market, 1250 N. Lake St. in Aurora; and La Chiquita, 1525 Douglas Road in Montgomery.
To celebrate its 15th year hosting the holiday food drive, organizers are selling prepackaged bags of food starting at $15. The pantry will also accept monetary donations, which can be made on its website. Every dollar donated provides $8 worth of food through the pantry's partnership with the Northern Illinois Food Bank, officials said.
