Inaugural Trunk-Or-Treat At North Aurora PD A Success: Photos

More than 100 children and caregivers visited the North Aurora Police Department Saturday for its first annual trunk-or-treat event.

NORTH AURORA, IL — More than 100 children and caregivers visited the North Aurora Police Department Saturday for an early celebration of Halloween. Police officers hosted their inaugural trunk-or-treat event in the station's parking lot.

Children decked out in costumes — including one 4-year-old boy dressed as a firefighter — met with officers who gave out treats and trinkets from the trunks of more than a dozen squad cars that were decorated for the holiday. One car had a giant spider clamped onto its bumper and windshield while others could be seen with skeletons behind the wheel.

The free event, which took place at 200 S. Lincolnway St., lasted from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
