Here are the latest updates on coronavirus cases in Aurora.
AURORA, IL — The new coronavirus outbreak in Illinois and across the nation is having a vast impact on Aurora, forcing the temporary closure of schools, businesses, parks and playgrounds.
As of Tuesday, the city had 52 confirmed cases of coronavirus and two deaths.
This makes eight more patients in Aurora who have been diagnosed with coronavirus since Monday. The two patients who died were both men in their 90s, according to an update on Facebook.

The news comes as the number of total coronavirus cases in Illinois reaches 5,994. As of Tuesday, the statewide death toll was at 99 and Governor J.B. Pritzker extended his stay-at-home order Tuesday through April 30.
In Aurora, Mayor Richard Irvin and Police Chief Kristen Ziman have both been diagnosed with coronavirus. Mayor Irvin shared a candid video Tuesday outlining his virus symptoms.

SCHOOLS
All schools in Illinois will remain closed through at least April 30 per Pritzker's extended stay-at-home order. MORE.

Per the governor's order, restaurants are closed for in-person dining, but many Aurora restaurants are still offering orders for delivery or pickup. MORE.
As of early April, the Fox Valley Mall and Chicago Premium Outlets remained closed. MORE.
HOSPITALS
As of March 17, Rush Copley Hospital temporarily changed its rules for visitors. In-patient visitors are not permitted, but exceptions are possible for end-of-life patients and hospice patients.
