Learn To Turn Sap Into Maple Syrup At Annual North Aurora Event
Maple Fest is returning to the Red Oak Nature Center for the annual celebration of spring.
NORTH AURORA, IL — Maple Fest, an annual celebration of spring, returns to the Red Oak Nature Center March 19-20.
Hosted by the Fox Valley Park District, the event gives participants a chance to turn map sap into maple syrup. Don't worry, the fest ends with a tasting of the delicious sweetness.
The program will start with a short indoor presentation before guests head out to the trails to learn the history behind making the syrup that makes pancakes and waffles taste even better.

Maple Fest will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the nature center, 1385 N. River Road, both days. Tickets, which cost $3, can be purchased for hour-long increments online.
