Local Baker Crafts 'Aurora Strong' Cookies To Thank Cops
The custom cookies bore the police department's badge and the Aurora Strong symbol that built solidarity after the Feb. 15 shooting.

AURORA, IL — Members of the Aurora Police Department had a big smile on their faces Friday as they noshed on customized "Aurora Strong" cookies to help them stay fueled for a day of fighting crime. Some of the cookies, which were baked and donated by Sweetly Made Crafts, said "thank you," others bore the "Aurora Strong" logo that was created after the deadly shooting at Henry Pratt Manufacturing on Feb. 15.
Other cookies bore the Aurora Police Department badge symbol and others were shaped like the state of Illinois, painted blue for the officers, and emblazoned with a white heart made out of icing to represent Aurora.
Police officers took to Facebook Friday to display photos of the cookies and to thank Kelsey from Sweetly Made Crafts for her thoughtful donation:

The cookies are the most recent in an outpouring of support and gratitude that the police force has received in honor of their response to the mass shooting. Five officers were hit by gunfire during the incident and were treated and released at local hospitals in the aftermath.
