Man, 29, Shot On South Lasalle Street In Aurora

Police say the man sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

AURORA, IL — Aurora police are asking for the public's help after a man was shot in the 400 block of South Lasalle Street Thursday night. Police say the victim, 29, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and is in critical, but stable condition.

Police received a number of calls reporting the shooting around 7:30 p.m. When they got to the scene, they found the victim, who was rushed to a nearby hospital and then airlifted to a Chicago hospital.

After the shooting, police canvassed the area and interviewed witnesses, but no suspects were currently in custody at press time.

Aurora police are still "investigating the circumstances of the incident," according to a news release.
