AURORA, IL -- A Peotone man faces felony charges after he was caught with more than $12,000 worth of cocaine in Aurora, Kane County Sheriff's police say. Robert E. Richards, 35, of the 100 block of North West Street, Peotone was found with more than 120 grams of cocaine in his car during the March 13 arrest, Daily Herald reports.

Police say the cocaine bust took place after an informant reportedly told cops that Richards had sold them cocaine on Feb. 19 and planned to sell them more during on March 13.

When Richards was en route to the meetup, police stopped him for failing to use a turn signal as he approached Aurora Outlet Mall, where the alleged deal was supposed to take place. Sheriff's police say they smelled marijuana, which led them to search Richards's car and locate the cocaine.
