Man Sexually Assaulted Child At Mental Health Center In Aurora
The man was in a "position of trust" when he sexually assaulted the minor, police say.

AURORA, IL -- A Chicago man has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a child who was a resident at a residential mental health care facility in Aurora. Darius Jones, 39, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison in connection with the incident, which took place while the child was in his care at Northern Illinois Academy.
Authorities say Jones was in a position of "trust, authority, and supervision" over the victim. The sex assault occurred between Sept. 2017 and Jan. 2018, according to a press release from Kane County State's Attorney's Office.
Northern Illinois Academy did not immediately respond for a request for comment Friday night.

Jones must serve 85 percent of his prison sentence before he becomes eligible for parole. He must also register as a sex offender for life.
