Man Sexually Assaulted, Stabbed Aurora Teen To Death: State's Attorney
Family members found the 17-year-old girl dead in her residence in the 900 block of Lebanon Street on Aug. 4, according to Aurora police.

AURORA, IL — A 26-year-old Aurora man has been charged with 12 offenses, including two counts of first-degree murder, after he sexually assaulted and stabbed a teenage girl to death on Aug. 4, officials at the Kane County State's Attorney's Office said Monday.
Police allege during the morning of Aug. 4, José Juan Gonzalez — who lived in the same residence as the girl, in the 900 block of Lebanon Street — stabbed Lizbeth Muro twice in the chest, killing her.
Family members found the teen dead in her residence, Patch reported.

The man was charged with the following offenses:
- First-degree murder, Class M felony, 2 counts
- Aggravated criminal sexual assault, Class X felony, 4 counts
- Armed violence, Class X felony
- Aggravated domestic battery, Class 2 felony
- Aggravated battery, Class 3 felony, 2 counts
- Unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, Class 3 felony
Gonzalez's bail was set at $5 million, with 10 percent to apply for bond. His next court appearance is set for Friday at the Kane County Judicial Center.
