Montgomery Man, 73, Killed In Single-Car Crash In Aurora
Police say the car left the road and then hit a tree.
AURORA IL -- A 73-year-old Montgomery man has died after a single-car crash that took place in Aurora Monday morning. The crash happened just before 9 a.m. in the 900 block of Edgelawn Ave., according to police.
A preliminary investigation indicates that the car was traveling north on Edgelawn when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it veered off the road, hitting a tree.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the driver unresponsive.Police say no one else was in the car at the time of the crash. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation and police are asking anyone with information to contact the traffic division at 630-256-5330.
