'Most Wonderful Time': Aurora University Christmas Show Coming Up
Admission and parking to the music department's annual Christmas concert is free.
AURORA, IL — Aurora University's music department is gearing up for its annual "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" Christmas concert that features choirs and ensembles.
Happening Dec. 5 with showtimes at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., the concert will take place in Crimi Auditorium in the Institute for Collaboration, located at 1347 Prairie St.
The program will include several arrangments, including "In Dulci Jubilo" by Michael Praetorius; "We Three Kings" and "Coventry Carol," arranged by Darmon Meador; and "Patapan," arranged by Kirke Meachem.

Northside Brass Music Co. will also perform, and Naomi Rowley will make an appearance on the pipe organ.
"Our festive concert will feature traditional holiday melodies and favorite carols," Lisa Fredenburgh, director of choral activities, said in a statement. "Featured will be a collection of upbeat holiday tunes from Spanish, English and other European traditions."

Admission and parking, both free, are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration can be completed by calling 630-844-4924 or emailing artsandideas@aurora.edu. Open seats will be released to guests about 10 minutes before the event start.
Doors will open half an hour before the concert starts, and guests will be required to check in with staff upon arrival.
Everyone will be required to wear masks while indoors, regardless of vaccination status, based on current health guidelines. For the concert, guests will be able to park on campus lots without a campus parking permit.
