Person Shot Inside Aurora Residence In 'Domestic-Related Incident': PD

Aurora police said the shooting poses no ongoing threat to the public.

AURORA, IL — A person was shot inside a residence in the 1000 block of North Edgelawn Drive Tuesday afternoon, Aurora police said.

The shooting occurred during a "domestic-related incident." Police and fire personnel were dispatched to the residence at 4:28 p.m. Tuesday when a man reported discharging a firearm, striking another person during an altercation, according to an alert from the Aurora Police Department.

The person was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Based on the investigation, police said the shooting poses no ongoing threat to the community.
