Police Find Gun, Marijuana During Traffic Stop In Aurora: PD

Police say they found a .45-caliber handgun inside of the car.

AURORA, IL -- An Aurora man faces multiple felony charges after police found a .45-caliber handgun and drugs in his car during a traffic stop, authorities say. Fabian M. Arness, 27, of the 1300 block of Grand Boulevard, has been charged with armed violence, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver in connection with the Feb. 27 incident.

Police say Arness was driving on Aurora's southeast side when they pulled him over for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, police say they found a loaded .45-caliber handgun and marijuana that was "packaged inside of several small plastic bags."

Arness is currently being held at Kane County Jail with his bail set at $150,000. He is set to appear in court again on March 13.
