Boy, 5, Found Safe After Being Reported Missing From Aurora

Police say Mubengwa, who only speaks Swahili, was found safely after going missing Sunday evening.

AURORA, IL — Police in Aurora say a 5-year-old boy who went missing Sunday evening has been found safe. The boy, whose name is Mubengwa, was located safely just before midnight, according to a police update.

According to police, Mubengwa was last seen in the 400 block of Spruce Street around 5 p.m., but was later located "safe and sound."

The boy's disappearance caused concern late Sunday as police were unsure whether he was wearing shoes or a jacket.
