Prison Term Given To Aurora Man, 63, Who Sexually Abused Child: Mosser
The man is facing additional charges of criminal sexual assault in connection to another victim, officials said.

AURORA, IL — An Aurora man was sentenced to 17 years in prison after he was found guilty of sexually abusing a child younger than 13, according to the Kane County State's Attorney's Office.
Lewis T. Richardson, 63, was convicted of two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
Prosecutors found that the man, of the 1600 block of Park Vista Lane in Aurora, sexually abused a child he knew at the time. In three of the four acts of sexual abuse committed, officials said the child was under the age of 13.

Richardson is required by law to serve 85 percent of the first 14 years of the sentence and is eligible for day-for-day sentencing on the final three years, officials said. The man must also register for life as a sexual offender.
"My thanks to the victim for the patience and courage she demonstrated throughout this entire process," Assistant State's Attorney Matthew Rodgers said in a statement. "Additionally, I'd like to thank victim advocate/case manager JoAnne Johnsen and the staff at the Kane County Child Advocacy Center for their work on this case."

Richardson is facing additional charges of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and aggravated criminal sexual abuse against another victim in a separate case.
