Purchase Ends In Armed Robbery At 7-Eleven In Aurora: Police
Police say the suspect showed a weapon when the employee reached for his change.

AURORA, IL -- A 7-Eleven store on Aurora's far southeast side was involved in an armed robbery late Friday, according to police An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen in the robbery, which took place at the store located in the 2200 block of Eola, police say.
The employee, a 63-year-old man, told police that someone came up to the register to buy something around 11:30 p.m. When the employee reached for change, police say the suspect showed a weapon and reached over the counter and into the register and began "grabbing money."
The suspect then exited the store and fled northbound. Police say a subsequent search ensued with the help of the Kendall County K-9 Unit, but the suspect was not located.
