Sex Offender Pastor Reportedly Begged Teen to Have Sex with Him

The 39-year-old man faces up to 15 years in prison.

NORTH AURORA, IL — A North Aurora pastor accused of sexually abusing a girl at his church reportedly begged the teen to have sex with him.

Ralphael J. Robinson "grabbed (the girl) by the wrist ... and begged her to have sex with him," according to an indictment, as reported by the Chicago Tribune.

Robinson is a 39-year-old convicted sex offender and a pastor at Kingdom Church in North Aurora. In April, he was charged with one count of criminal sexual assault and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse over allegations that he sexually abused a teen girl at his church.

If convicted, Robinson would face a sentence between four and 15 years in prison.

Robinson was previously convicted of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, according to the Illinois Sex Offender Registry. He was 25 at the time of the offense and his victim was 16.

Last month, he was also accused of violating the state sex offender registration rules and “not properly reporting his job status,” according to the report.
