Teen Killed In Apparent Homicide In Aurora, Police Say
Police are looking for information on the apparent murder of Daniel Perez-Alvarez, 18.

AURORA, IL -- Aurora police have launched an investigation into the shooting death of an 18-year-old man that took place Wednesday night. Daniel Perez-Alvarez, of the 200 block of N. Ohio Street, was riding in a car with three other teens when he was fatally shot by someone in another car, police say.
The shooting took place just before 11 a.m. near the intersection of Beach and Claim Streets. A 19-year-old male and two other teens, ages 16 and 17, were in the car with Perez-Alvarez, but were not wounded, police say.
Perez-Alvarez was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:17 a.m. Thursday.

Police do not have a description of the shooting suspect or vehicle. They say the shooting does not appear to be random.
The Kane County Coroner is expected to conduct an autopsy and results are pending.
