Trick-Or-Treating In Aurora: 2022 Hours Announced
To celebrate the holiday, city officials will also host the 6th annual Halloween at City Hall event featuring candy and costumed characters.
AURORA, IL — October is here, and that means Halloween is just a few weeks out. This year, the spooky holiday falls on a Monday.
The City of Oswego set its recommended trick-or-treating hours for 4-7 p.m. Oct. 31.
Earlier in the day, city officials will host the 6th annual Halloween at City Hall. The event, taking place from 3-5 p.m. at 44 E. Downer Place, will include feature activities, costumed characters and more than 10 departments hanging out treats.

In an announcement Tuesday, officials also provided a few reminders for trick-or-treating:
- Accompany children and try to go earlier when it still is light outside.
- Only eat factory-wrapped candy and treats.
- Wear costumes that are bright or reflective so children can see and be seen.
- Wear costumes, masks and shoes that are well-fitting to avoid blocked vision, trips and falls.
- Use sidewalks, look both ways before crossing streets, using established crosswalks where possible.
- Carry a flashlight with you.
