AURORA, IL — A pickup truck drove through a group of motorcyclists Sunday afternoon during the ninth annual La Carne Azada ride, prompting punches and a getaway attempt.
Aurora Police Department spokesman Dan Ferrelli told the Chicago Tribune that an officer saw a group of motorcycles “driving recklessly and disobeying traffic signals near the downtown intersection of West New York Street and River Street.”
The officer tried to get the riders to slow down, but one of them blocked the cop car from moving and waved the others through, according to the report.
